Akai MFC42
The MFC42 is a true analog filter module designed by Akai for their MPC-series gear. However, you can use it to process any sound source since it has basic 1/4" inputs and outputs and MIDI! It has genuine analog filters for that warmer tone with Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, and Notch filter types. It consists of a MONO filter section and STEREO filter section. The MONO section offers 2-, 4-, and 8-pole filter slopes. The STEREO section offers 2- and 4-pole filter slopes. The MONO 8-pole slope utilizes the whole filter circuitry so the STEREO section is not active. Likewise, the MONO section is inactive when the STEREO section is in 4-pole mode. But when both sections are used simultaneously, they can be linked so that the MONO filter's control knobs control both MONO and STEREO sections. The link can also be inverted so the two sections sweep in opposite directions.

Unlike many Aural Exciters or equalizers, the BBE Maxie does not add any extra noise or harmonics to your sound. The Little Labs PCP Instrument Distro 3.0 is an all-in-one triple transformer-isolated guitar splitter, triple output/input re-amping tool, active line-level direct box, and long guitar cable driver. sE Electronics Z-5600
The SE Electronics Z5600 is a tube capacitor (condenser) microphone with an amazingly low price tag. It comes with a suspension mount and an external power supply. (Some of those high-end European manufacturers make you pay extra for the suspension mount - as much as a good mic sometimes!). Tube microphones generally do need external power supplies; those that can run from phantom power are rare. However, this type of mic will most likely only ever be used in a studio, rather than for live work or location recording, so it doesn't really matter. One interesting feature is that even though this mic is quite low in cost, it offers multiple patterns all the way from omnidirectional to figure-of-eight with more intermediate stages than you would expect. These are selected on the power supply rather than on the microphone. As a tube mic, you would expect a more 'present' sound than a transistor microphone. Combined with the large diaphragm, this will give an upfront, quite in-your-face sound quality. You should also expect a little more noise, but as the typical usage would be close to the sound source you should not find this a problem.
